Type only, and that is not a compromise: the largest photograph we own is 8.00 in wide at 300 dpi, which across 24 in is 100 dpi, and a sign read from a moving car wants a word rather than a picture anyway. Nothing that has to be read sits in the bottom 1.5 in, which stands in grass behind the stake. Printed on 4 mm corrugated plastic with VERTICAL flutes, which is the only orientation an H-stake slides into — order it that way whichever trim you pick.

The template opens in the studio as a 1-page document at 24 × 18 in, with the trim, the bleed, the margins and the 150 DPI target already set. 7 elements are on it and every one is separate: 5 of them are live text you retype rather than artwork you work around.
The safe margin is 1 in top, 1 in bottom, 1 in left, 1 in right. Nothing you want to keep should cross it, and anything meant to run off the edge has to reach the bleed line 0.125 in outside the trim.
